About Wakonda
We all know that the world is full of distractions for young people in the Church. Unwholesome activities, unhelpful friend groups, and unholy worldviews abound and threaten to throw our children off track. Wisconsin, it turns out, is one of the most secular states in the country, and genuine Christianity is hard to find. Wakonda is here to help! As the Youth Evangelism department of the Wisconsin Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, the Wakonda team is focused on equipping your young people with a solid spiritual foundation, as well as leadership skills that will help them as they journey into the future. Statistically, getting involved in the various ministries we offer has a track record of helping young people stay involved in the church mission for life. Scroll below for brief descriptions of our ministries!

Club Ministries
Operating throughout the school year, our Club Ministries are an excellent community for your young people. Adventurers (ages 5-9), Pathfinders (ages 10-15), and Master Guides (ages 16+) are the future of leadership in our churches. With more than 40 clubs across the state of Wisconsin, you're bound to find one close to you.
Summer Camp
Operating between the months of June and July, our Summer Camps are an excellent opportunity for young people to connect, learn, and grow in their spiritual walk. Cub Camp (ages 7-9), Tween Camp (ages 10-12), Teen Camp (ages 13-17), and Family Camp (all ages) offer fun activities, a powerful community, and Biblical programming. Not to mention, Summer Camp is an excellent option for young people to work (ages 16+) or volunteer (ages 14+) in a mission-driven, Christian environment.

Young Adult
Operating year-round, but especially during the school year, our Young Adult ministries are a conglomerate of communities that take aim at helping young adults (ages 18-35) find meaning and purpose in a changing world. Adventist Christian Fellowship (ACF) focuses on reaching Public Campus students; the Table focuses on leadership education and strategy summits; and JAHWI focuses on bilingual ministry in an increasingly Spanish-speaking Wisconsin.
