It's officially PBE (Pathfinder Bible Experience) season in the Wisconsin Conference. This past Sabbath, teams from around Wisconsin gathered into their respective "areas" to compete against each other and see who would advance to the Conference PBE event in March. We currently have Area Coordinators serving in four areas of the state, and those areas met at the following locations.

  • Southeast Area: Waukesha (English) Church

  • Northeast Area: Fox Valley Church

  • Area 51: Watertown Church

  • Northwest Area: Chippewa Valley Church

For those who don't know, this year our Pathfinders are studying the Book of Isaiah, chapters 1-33 for PBE. This is a challenging book full of prophecy and political friction that even many adults have a hard time grappling with. That being said, we are proud of all of our PBE teams for the work they have put into memorizing large sections of scripture from Isaiah.

Below are the teams that participated in each area, and the placements they received.

Who Advances to the Wisconsin Conference Level?

This year, we had a rule that everyone in 1st place would advance from Area to Conference Level. Additionally, those in 2nd place would advance, as long as they got a certain percentage. Teams were graded on a curve in each given area, which was a consideration in the final placement and advancement of individual teams. Some teams, who had the opportunity to advance, have declined to do so. The following nine teams be participating in the Wisconsin Conference Level PBE event, taking place at Wisconsin Academy on Sabbath, March 7.

Again, we want to congratulate all of our teams on participating in our Area Level PBE event! For those who advance, we'll look forward to your participation in the Conference Level event on March 7 at Wisconsin Academy. For those who don't advance: next year's PBE will cover The Gospel of Mark, 1 & 2 Peter, and 1, 2, & 3 John. There's nothing stopping you from starting to study these books now, so that you're ahead of the curve for next year!

Preparations for Conference PBE Sabbath

Everyone is invited to attend Conference PBE Sabbath, at Wisconsin Academy, on March 7. Actually, we encourage all Wisconsin Conference Pathfinders to attend, if possible, because we've turned that Sabbath into an epic, conference-wide Pathfinder Sabbath at the Wisconsin Academy Church. Last year, we had an awesome turnout, with Pathfinders involved in every aspect of the service, including the preaching. This year, we're looking forward to the same: so you don't want to miss it.

For those attending church, we plan to have lunch together. I'll reach out soon about the details regarding that. We'll need numbers from each Club Director regarding the total number of people attending from your church who will plan on eating lunch at Wisconsin Academy that Sabbath (number will include Pathfinders, staff, family members, pastors, etc.).

If you are not attending the church service that morning, please arrive by 2:00 pm in full dress uniform. We will be setting up, inspecting teams’ uniforms, and getting everyone squared away with runners and scorekeepers (if they don’t have them). Please plan to bring your own runners and scorekeepers, if possible (Pathfinders not on the team, or Adventurers make great runners, and adults or TLTs not on the team make great scorekeepers): however, the school will try to provide some students to cover if you cannot bring your own.

Testing will officially start at 3:00 pm.
