Thank You For The Camp Staff Experience

I’m writing this because I want to say thank you to my fellow staff for the time and support they gave me at Camp Wakonda this summer. Thank you for helping me with everything, for helping me open up more, and for helping me get a better look at life so that I can have a better future for myself.

Camp taught me a lot about patience and brought me closer to God than I was before. I think working at camp helped me find a part of myself. Working hard every day showed me I can do anything. Sometimes I doubted myself, but every day my coworkers helped me and gave me faith that I can do it. It felt like a family on a big farm that lived in different sections and we always had nice fun times and good laughs. Camp is like something you hope for in a dream.

I had pretty good laughs, but I did have crabby days too. Sometimes I was tired and wanted to give up. But I knew I had to keep pushing for the better so I can better myself and discipline myself. Living at Camp Wakonda for two months might have been the best experience of my life, and it also helped me help my family back home with the money I made.

I want to shout out some of the staff who made this a great summer. Thanks to Pastor Zack, Cameron, Ally, Levi, Scott, Kevin, and Caden for helping me with everything. Thank you for your time and appreciation, your consideration, and for acknowledging me and making me feel like family. I wanna say thank you to the campers who made me feel like an important individual they can look up to.

I met so many people this summer and somehow it was like I already knew them before. Everyone was kind and the love is real. I wanted to be at Summer Camp since I was a kid and it never failed me. I wanna thank Summer Camp for giving me that experience. I wanna thank all of my coworkers who helped me get through this summer. I love all of you and I will be back next year!
