This is the fifth summer that Ally and I have directed the Summer Camp ministry here at Camp Wakonda. It's been such an awesome journey with our staff leaders, and what a blessing that some of them have stuck with us for four or more years. The purpose of this article is to give a shout-out to the individuals who have repeatedly returned to do mission work in our Summer Camp program.
Alexandra Blanaru
This is Alexandra's fourth summer working for us, and she's spent all four years in the Ceramics Department as an instructor. Over the years, she has been given more and more responsibilities, such as working the kiln and teaching classes.

Joshua Case
This is Joshua's fourth summer working for us, and he has heavily invested in two departments: Kitchen and Ceramics. He is also known for his returning role as the Prophet Steve in the camp drama programs.

Sherri Hanaway
This is Sherri's fourth summer working for us, and she has been a huge help as our childcare helper. Ally and I are free to be where we're needed as we direct the camp ministry, thanks to her being our professional grandma on campus.

Pam King
Pam has been a staff at Camp Wakonda for around 40 years on and off. From directing the ceramics department, to being an aid to new staff who need help integrating into camp life: she's the mom many of our staff need while away from home.

Cameron Krawcyzk
This is Cameron's fifth summer working for us, and his second as our Boys Director (after three summers of counseling). He's been an encouraging force for our Boys Counselors, bringing a wealth of experience as he helps them with their job and moves the daily program forward.

Caden Minett
This is Caden's fifth summer working for us, and his fourth as our Rock Wall Director. Caden knows the Rock Wall program (and the rest of the camp) like the back of his hand, and is reliable to help with just about anything that comes up at camp.

William Ramos
This is William's fourth summer working for us, and all four he has been in the kitchen. This summer, he is acting as the Assistant Kitchen Director. He is also known for his powerful portrayals of Jesus in the camp drama programs.

In addition to recognizing these staff for the efforts they have put into Summer Camp evangelism these past summers, I would like to recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quality employee. Whether it is spiritual work, people work, or just good old-fashioned hard work: these individuals will be amazing additions to any program. Of course, ideally, we'd love to keep all of them at Summer Camp forever. But should you end up working with them, just know I would trust these individuals with just about anything you had to throw at them.
It is our mission as the Wisconsin Conference Youth Department to invest in our young leaders, as well as leaders of youth, as they discover the unique way that God has set them apart for His mission. We can't wait to see how God works through these individuals as they fulfill the promise of Galatians 3:8/Genesis 22:18, "through you I will bless all nations."
